Individual DBT Skills Program

The Individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Program was created for clients who want to learn DBT Skills, but desire a more personalized program rather than a group format. In the DBT Skills Individual Program, we cover all four modules of DBT - Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. The sessions are didactic, feeling more like a class, and we spend 5-weeks on each module, totaling 20 sessions for the program. This program is a great fit for those who would like to cope more effectively with intense emotions, manage symptoms of anxiety, address symptoms of PTSD, stop engaging in challenging or impulsive behaviors, manage conflict effectively and/or improve relationships.

Each session is 50-minutes long, and sessions are really focused on learning the skills, and are meant to be adjunctive to individual therapy. Therefore, we do require you to be in individual psychotherapy during the program. For the program, sessions can be once or twice per week depending on your needs and preferences.
