Couples Therapy

All couples face challenges - whether it’s miscommunication, emotional distance, intimacy challenges, recurring arguments, or the pain of a recent rupture. At GML Therapy, we offer couples therapy designed to help you understand each other more deeply, strengthen your bond, and co-create a relationship that feels safe, connected, and aligned.

You don’t have to stay stuck in the same cycle. With the right support, change is possible. Rebuild trust. Deepen connection. Learn to navigate conflict with more care and clarity.

Who Is Couples Therapy For?

Couples therapy is for partners of all identities and stages - whether you’re dating, engaged, married, co-parenting, or navigating a major transition. We work with couples who:

  • Consistently feel like they’re “on edge” with one another

  • Struggle to communicate without shutting down or escalating the conflict

  • Are experiencing trust issues, infidelity, or emotional disconnection

  • Want to repair a recent rupture

  • Want to prepare for a big life change like engagement, marriage, having children, etc.

  • Love each other, but feel out of sync emotionally or physically

  • Want to learn healthier ways to handle conflict and feel heard

  • Are looking to deepen intimacy, rebuild safety, or prevent long-term issues

Whether you're on the verge of disconnect or simply want to strengthen your foundation, couples therapy can offer tools, insight, and renewed clarity.

Common Challenges We Address in Couples Therapy

We help couples work through:

  • Recurring arguments and communication breakdowns

  • Anxious-avoidant dynamics or unhelpful cycles of blame and retreat

  • Trust issues and breaches (including infidelity)

  • Emotional disconnection or “roommate syndrome”

  • Differences in values, expectations, or future plans

  • Difficulty navigating emotions or conflict styles

  • Life transitions, such as parenting, career shifts, moving states, etc.

  • Feeling misunderstood, unseen, or emotionally alone in the relationship

No matter what you're working through, we create a space where both partners can feel respected, heard, and supported.

We also offer faith-integrated couples therapy for those who want to bring spirituality or shared beliefs into the process.

What You Can Expect

  • Understand and break out of painful patterns and conflict cycles

  • Communicate more clearly, calmly, and compassionately

  • Rebuild trust and repair emotional or relational ruptures

  • Better express needs, boundaries, and vulnerabilities

  • Deepen emotional and physical intimacy

  • Navigate challenges as a team, rather than against each other

Our goal isn’t to take sides—it’s to help you both feel seen, heard, and equipped with the tools to move forward with intention.
