DBT Individual Skills Program

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a powerful, skills-based approach that helps you manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, interrupt black and white thinking and create more balance in your life. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from DBT. This program is ideal for anyone ready to learn practical therapeutic skills for navigating life more skillfully and with less suffering. While DBT is often offered in group formats, GML Therapy offers a personalized individual DBT skills program, designed to meet your needs in a 1:1 setting so you can learn to regulate emotions, manage stress, and build relationships - at your own pace.

Whether group therapy isn’t the right fit or you’re looking for more focused support, this program gives you all the DBT skills in a format that’s flexible, private, and paced just for you.

  • Have difficulty managing relationships or boundaries

  • Often feel misunderstood or unable to express themselves clearly

  • Want to build more self-trust, emotional stability, and coping strategies

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from DBT. This program is ideal for anyone ready to learn practical skills for navigating life more skillfully and with less suffering.

What Skills Will You Learn?

Our DBT Individual Skills Program follows the four core DBT modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Each skill set is broken down into clear, doable practices that you’ll integrate into your daily life between sessions.

What Makes This Program Unique?

Unlike a DBT group, this 1:1 format offers:

  • Personalized pacing - spend more time where you need it

  • Confidential space to explore challenges without group pressure

  • Ongoing therapy integration, combining skills work with deeper insight and healing

  • Flexible scheduling that fits your lifestyle

  • The ability to blend DBT with other modalities like CBT, ACT, or values-based therapy depending on your goals

This program is ideal for clients who want the structure and depth of DBT without the group setting, or who are already in individual therapy and want to layer in DBT skills training with a primary therapist's support.
