GML Therapy, PLLC is an integrative holistic psychotherapy practice based in Austin, TX.
We work with individuals and couples in-person in Austin, TX and virtually with clients throughout Texas and Massachusetts.
If you feel anxiety has taken over and you’ve lost the ability to access your intuition and make the choices in life that are truly align with your values - I want you to know you are in the right place.
When we are highly anxious, sometimes our values get lost in ruminative or intrusive thoughts, worst case scenarios and constant worries, making decisions seem overwhelming and sometimes impossible. This makes choices and life transitions incredibly hard to navigate whether it be in dating to find a partner, maintaining healthy relationships, or choosing your next career move. It also impacts our self-esteem as we start to feel out of control and lost in our lives.
It does not have to be this way! I love working with people to develop a deeper understanding of who they are, understand their values, and navigate life decisions in a way that feels aligned and anxiety-free. It’s such a privilege to work alongside clients as they build skills, feel confident and empowered, and make the changes they desire in life.
Holistic Therapy
Individual Therapy
Individual psychotherapy sessions are offered in-person in Austin, TX and via telehealth with patients based in Texas and Massachusetts. In sessions, I take a holistic integrative approach - looking at the body, mind and soul - and we go deep! Using this approach, I pull from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and transpersonal (spiritual) psychology, to create a treatment plan that aligns with your needs. As we dive deep, my supportive, hands-on style is also designed to assist you in building a toolbox of skills to take with you beyond therapy.
Individual psychotherapy sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly and are 45-minutes in length. For any questions about availability or details on the therapeutic process, click below.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy sessions are offered in-person in Austin, TX and via telehealth with patients based in Texas or Massachusetts. I take an integrative approach in couples therapy pulling from Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method and behavioral approaches such as CBT and DBT to improve communication skills, decrease blame, improve sexual experiences and build connection.
In couples therapy, we focus on rebuilding intimacy and connection between partners. There are many things that drive couples apart such as poor communication, criticism, sexual concerns, lack of trust, infidelity, conflict with family, thoughts of separation and many more. We will work together to examine what the underlying root cause of your relationship conflict is and build from there.
Couples therapy sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly and are 45-minutes in length. For any questions about availability or for more details on the therapeutic process, click below.
Individual DBT Skills Sessions
The Individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Program was created for clients who want to learn DBT Skills, but desire a more personalized program rather than a group format. In the DBT Skills Individual Program, we cover all four modules of DBT - Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. The sessions are didactic, feeling more like a class, and we spend 5-weeks on each module, totaling 20 sessions for the program. This program is a great fit for those who would like to cope more effectively with intense emotions, manage symptoms of anxiety, address symptoms of PTSD, stop engaging in challenging or impulsive behaviors, manage conflict effectively and/or improve relationships.
Each session is 45-minutes long, and sessions are focused on learning the skills. This program is meant to be adjunctive to individual therapy. Therefore, we do require you to be in individual psychotherapy during the program. For the program, sessions can be once or twice per week depending on your needs and preferences. If you are interested in the individual skills program, please email me by clicking the button below or filling out the contact form.
Faith-based Therapy
Individual faith-based psychotherapy sessions are offered in-person in Austin, TX and via telehealth with patients based in Texas or Massachusetts. This option is ideal for clients looking to incorporate their faith or spirituality into their therapeutic work. This option is most aligned for, but not limited to those who identify as Christian, Catholic or Spiritual/Agnostic. In sessions, I still take a holistic integrative approach - looking at the body, mind and soul - and we go deep, but with your faith in mind.
Individual faith-based psychotherapy sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly and are 45-minutes in length. For any questions about availability or for more details on the therapeutic process, click below.
DBT Skills Groups
This is a virtual DBT Skills Group that meets weekly on Zoom on Wednesday evenings. The group is didactic, feeling more like a class, and we learn DBT skills across four modules: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. The program is 20-weeks long, spending 5 weeks on each DBT Skills module. This group is a great fit for those who would like to cope more effectively with intense emotions, stop engaging in challenging or impulsive behaviors, manage conflict effectively and/or improve relationships. Groups are intentionally small, and have between 5-10 participants per group.
